No paper cases required and easy washing up ! However, paper cases may be used if so desired - especially if you wish to make cup cakes and frost liberally - makes them much easier to handle when icing. Greasing is advised with new moulds (just like traditional non-stick bakeware tins for the first few uses) for cakes, but is not required with pastries.
